It made sense, I don’t blame them. They cared for me, enough. They kept me in my room at night and took me to the front yard of the station during the day. The desert. My desert. No one else wanted to be out there, nobody else had the time to. I had made the desert my home, out there I managed to take care of myself, or maybe the desert took care of me.
